Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won an impressive victory over a Democratic House icon, has charisma and a flair with social media. That she has become to mainstream media THE focal point of the Democratic Party and the foil for Republicans to play the Both Sides game, is ridiculous 1
I have met with a number of the Democrats in their Class of 2018. If anything, as a group, they are to the right of the center of the Democratic Party. Not surprising, given the districts they won. Impressive as AOC is, she is not representative of the majority in the House. 2
If Howard Schultz is using AOC as his foil, he is even more cringeworthy as a candidate than I had thought.
