In the last two days stories have run in the NYT and WaPo that the sitting president is under FBI counterintelligence investigation for working on behalf of Russia and that he has taken effective steps to prevent the US govt from having a record of his communications with Putin.
So far as I have seen, the White House has not yet denied that Trump worked on behalf of Russia or that he broke with tradition to prevent dissemination of his conversations with Putin within the US govt. WH officials are quoted making other statements in both articles.
It’s all a bit bizarre because, as everyone knows by now, they typically have no scruples about lying.
