It looks like Sundance is conflating issues here. Warner is not claiming he had Gang of 8 briefings in the Summer of 2016. He discussed 2 separate issues. 1. That he can't go in to what the Go8 was briefed on. 2. During that summer, lots of events were going on.
Warner never said the Go8 briefings were given at the same time as the events that happened when the investigations started. The information was "subsequent to that briefing" about things that happened the previous summer. Not that the briefing happened the previous summer.
Sundance is making a mistake in interpreting the statements of Warner. Warner is talking about the briefings in March 2017, stating that both intel committees started investigations AFTER their briefings. Investigations that are not quite 2 years old. Confirming March of 2017.
This is a very important distinction, Warner was clear in about 3 different statements in that interview that the briefings were not in the Summer of 2016. But were about the investigations in the Summer of 2016. Warner not being a member of the Go8 then is relevant to this also.
Comey has testified that they Go8 were not briefed about his investigation because of the sensitivity of the case. Indicating that it was not the same case as the Trump Russia case that Brennan was briefing the Go8 about.
Comey's case was about the real Russian Collusion & he has already testified that he could not brief the Go8 between July 2016 & March 2017 because we did not have a Director of National Intelligence. Well he did not have one he could brief on the real collusion case.
Because DNI Clapper was compromised in the real Russian CI case, meaning Comey could not brief a suspect in that case.
He was possibly unable to brief the Go8 because someone on the Go8 was compromised too! The only change? Warner replaced Feinstein meaning if anyone on the Go8 was compromised by participating in Russian Collusion? It's Feinstein. Feinstein got her own special briefing in March17
It also seems pretty clear that Warner was not colluding with Waldman. Warner was wearing a wire to communicate with Waldman. A telecom exec with Go8 level clearance knew that the secure app was hacked by NSA & was being recorded. So he knew he was wired in all commo w Waldman.
Warner also helped Comey stop the extradition of Assange into the hands of DOJ holdovers from Obama. A plot involving Waldman, Ohr, Lauffman, Manafort, & certainly Oleg Deripaska who they all worked for'. Warner's actions allowed the exposure of Vault 7, showing CIA hacking.
Hacking that Waldman assured Warner would be very bad for Obama, Dems, & the CIA. Like showing the CIA had contractors pretending to be Russians to hide who was really doing the hacking.
