so, the media had a very, very bad, truly awful day.

Some might even say 'epic'. Now, most semi intelligent people would never trust their whole career to Buzzfeed in the first place, so this should be a short story.
2) No such luck. The media monolith, which is fed a preordained set of talking points at a set time, demands material. Seeing the charge of being a Russian secret agent didn't fare too well they needed something new.
3) Tack back to Michael Cohen. He has to have something on POTUS.

The hotel in Moscow. You know, the one that was never built? That is just fish bait that cannot be mined enough. In Russia you grease palms. That's how they work.
4) Surely there must be something there. So, one of their wizards comes up with a leak of a leak filtered through partisan wishful thinking and came up with Trump ordering slimy to lie to congress.
5) Now, anyone who knows Trump knows this doesn't happen, it isn't his style and frankly, Cohen was moved out in a hurry. Trump didn't need his parking tickets fixed anymore.
6) OK, so you all know this already.

Just a brief. This claptrap becomes the Holy Grail.
7) Once again, ,with stunning predictability, the media flocks to this leak by Buzzfeed, which is not a news site but a left wing political advocacy group.

The ones who brought you the Steele Dossier.
8) Now, this was too good to be true, and like all things it proved just so,.

Moments after the Cohen bit broke Mueller's office chimed in for the FIRST TIME.
9) They set the record straight. 'The story was not accurate' which the left then claimed 'well, at least he didn't say it was a lie'. Sorry.

That's not how lawyers talk. When they say it isn't accurate they don't mean misspelling. They mean it ain't right.

Period.
10) This was not good news to the throngs; CNN"s Jeff Toobin was besides himself. 'This makes us look like a bunch of left wing activists out to get the president no matter what'.

It was an amazing moment of self awareness, although almost certainly unintentional.
11) There is now nothing they can say about Donald J Trump that will stick.

Literally nothing; zero. To throw down on Michael Cohen is dumb.

To do it over a Buzzfeed article is suicidal, and that's just what you witnessed today...
