OK so just so I'm clear. Chromosomes don't determine who's a woman. Genitals don't determine who's a woman. Secondary sex characteristics don't determine who's a woman. Biological processes don't determine who's a woman. A certificate might do (but isn't necessary).
Is there anything apart from a feeling that 'I identify as a woman' that makes one a woman? Is there a reason we should have any provision for sex or gender at all (facilities, services, legal rights & protections) if the only thing that makes someone a woman is a belief?
A woman can produce a child with sperm. A woman can have a penis. A woman can have XY chromosomes. A woman can be born and raised as a male, live as a male for 40 years, but they always were a woman if they felt like a woman in their mind.
A bit of paper that specifies someone is 'F' rather than 'M' can legally prove you're a woman - but you don't need this, because you are a woman if you say you are?
You don't need this certificate to change your legal designation, and you can get various legal documents that say you're a woman regardless, and you don't need any of these anyway because if you say you identify as a woman, you are a woman?
So what, therefore, is the point of a women's changing room, or a women's ward, or an all women shortlist, or women's sports, or recording women's pay, or women's legal rights, if being a women is simply an indefinable feeling or belief?
It's bigoted to be attracted to someone's sex rather than gender feelz (genital fetishist). If your husband tells you he's actually a woman & is going to transition, then you weren't heterosexual, you were actually a lesbian all along, you just didn't know it. Obvs.
You might be a woman if you live under patriarchy (but what is patriarchy after all, if the penis havers / ejaculators might have been women all along. Or on alternate Tuesdays & Weds like Pips Bunce)
