Senator Joe Manchin (D-West Virginia) just voted for the Trump plan to reopen the government with wall money + other immigration provisions.
Senator @KyrstenSinema (D-Arizona) votes NO on the Trump plan to reopen the government with wall funding.
The Senate vote isn't called yet but there are more than 41 NOs on Trump's plan, meaning it won't get the 60 needed to break a filibuster.
.@SenTomCotton (R-Arkansas) votes NO on Trump's plan to reopen the gov't with wall money and three-year Dreamer protections.
.@SenMikeLee (R-Utah) votes NO on the Trump plan to open the government.
51-47, Trump plan to reopen the government with wall funding and other immigration provisions FAILS to get 60 votes to advance in the Senate.
And now the Senate is voting on the Democrats' proposal to end the shutdown without the wall or other immigration add-ons.
The vote was announce incorrectly—it's 50-47 (not 51-47) on Trump's plan. Defectors are Manchin (D) voting yes, and Cotton (R) and Lee (R) voting no.

Martha McSally sticking with Trump here, votes NO on the Democrats' plan to reopen the government without wall money.
ROMNEY votes YES on the Democrats' plan to reopen the government.
It's currently 51-44. Unless somebody switches to NO, the Democratic plan to reopen the government without wall money will get more Senate votes than the Trump plan that includes wall money.
NEWS: Senate votes 52-44 for the Democratic plan to reopen the government without wall funding. That's short of 60, so it fails.

The Republicans who voted YES:

Lamar Alexander
Susan Collins
Cory Gardner
Johnny Isakson
Lisa Murkowski
Mitt Romney
Senate vote on Trump plan: 50-47
Senate vote on Democratic plan: 52-44

Both fail to get 60, both are rejected.

Government shutdown continues into Day 34.
Good news for Trump is he held all but 6 GOP senators to the line on opposing an end to the shutdown without wall money.

Bad news for Trump is his bill got fewer votes than the Democrats' bill in the Republican-run Senate.
.@TomCottonAR says he voted against the Trump plan to reopen gov't "because it gives legal status to illegal aliens without first securing our borders, implementing e-verify, and ending chain migration—all of which would eliminate the incentives for more illegal immigration."
.@SenSchumer emerges from @senatemajldr's office.

"We’re talking. We’re talking," he says.

White House @PressSec says a 3-week stopgap bill to open the government "would only work if there is a large down payment on the wall."
