Seems irresponsible to perpetuate this narrative until more is known since Chicago Police Department just gave a statement that "There is no report of that being said" in regards to TMZ report that the attackers said "This is MAGA country."
Chicago Police are now denying TMZ reports that the attackers of Jussie Smollett said "This is MAGA country." It’s another good lesson along with previous cases of Fake News not to run with narratives right away. Insane to think of how many were exposed to the false narrative. 
Here’s an important takeaway from the shocking stories that’ve ended up having false information initially attached to them; wait to react. It’s human nature to want to be outraged or defensive but media + people with large platforms need to collect facts to have any credibility.
