Kamala Harris' big economic idea is basically just a big expansion of the EITC. Which is a good idea (with some tweaks). Though it seems certain that Democratic voters won't be satisfied with that kind of thing this time around.

@JHWeissmann even dings the plan for failing to help the upper middle class!
If center-left folks like Vox and Slate pooh-pooh a big EITC expansion, it's a clear signal that Dems aren't going to be satisfied with Clintonite targeted policies, even highly effective ones. They demand something much bigger and more transformative.
For this reason, I expect Harris to come out with another big economic program at some point - a big tax increase, spending initiative, or both.
