1/ I’ve finally figured out what bothers me about so many new parents my age: how they make their kid their entire identity, the center of their universe, their very reason for existing. It’s startlingly common even among very smart, wise, successful, balanced, mature ppl
2/ I doubt this is new, since there’s the common trope of a couple disappearing for a few years once they become parents. Common symptoms are ignoring friendships, withdrawing from groups, not socializing, deprioritizing work/everything else
3/ But I think it’s profoundly unhealthy for both parents and kid. It’s the most subtle, easiest to defend way of abdicating your responsibility to lead a full life, to fulfill your potential, to contribute to society, and ultimately, to model what a rich life looks like

1/ A lot’s been written about the theory of constraints and focusing on bottlenecks, but the bottleneck is always presented as a problem to be fixed. There’s another way of looking at it where the bottleneck is an opportunity, and you move it on purpose
2/ The bottleneck is only a problem to the extent you want throughout (really sales) to increase. But if maximizing sales is not the overriding goal, you can strategically PLACE the bottleneck to further all sorts of other goals
3/ You could throttle throughput to maximize quality, satisfaction, craftsmanship, camaraderie, interestingness, predictability, or to minimize risk. This is really what we do as freelancers/solopreneurs. We could produce more, but we’re optimizing for something else

1/ A lot of ppl have been asking about PDF reading workflow for personal knowledge management. Here is the super simple one that fulfills all my needs. Start by creating a Resource folder on Dropbox with PDFs I want to read. Access it via @PDFExpert6 file browser
2/ Open a PDF and use highlight feature to highlight passages you want to keep
3/ When finished, tap three dots and then “Email.” For some reason the option to export only highlights doesn’t appear when I tap “Share”

We arrived early in the morning. Took airport bus to our accomodation and freshen up and go straight to k-star road and also coex mall
We went to ticket bay office to take our concert ticket. Haha it was so hard finding the office. The banner is so small. After like 30 minutes of searching we finally able to find it. And we bought bt21 paris baguette tumblr.
