I honestly feel a great deal of sadness for men in modern western context. Our culture is highly individualistic & objective driven in ways that naturally align w/ male strengths. So it rewards men for what comes naturally to them, but it doesn't force them to things they need.
If a man is going to seek family & faithfulness, he'll have to do it *in spite of* the culture around him. He'll have to intentionally bind himself to a woman & his children. He'll have to fight for goodness, against both natural tendency toward independence & surrounding culture
But what a beautiful life he'll have when he does! What purpose & meaning, what relationship, what a legacy he'll have to enjoy! It won't be w/out work & pain, but then no good thing is.
Also, here's a shoutout to men who are breaking cycles of dysfunction by loving faithfulness to your wives & children. who are raising yourselves while you raise your children. Take heart, this is the hardest work of your lives but it will bring you joy & it will live after you.
