And besides them losing all credibility with us, thank god I don’t see goddamn Cher tweets anymore, what is going on is a contraction caused by many factors. Film revenue is flat in the USA and Canada. 
With flat revenues domestically, their costs have risen by a reported 25%. Average worker there makes like $88,000 per year and workforce has grown by 25%. This means they’re taking it on the chin.

And in reality, to keep it flat, they’ve had to raise prices. What imo this has done is instituted the economic theory of elasticity of product, which says when you raise your price too high consumers will find a replacement. Also, 3D is an investment that is again dying.
We also see a decline in admissions. Again revenue was made up by raising prices and streaming becomes a replacement. I watch more at home and I’m also damn picky.
So, in an attempt to stem the replacement tide economics 101 shows, they compare ticket prices to games and parks. What they don’t show is average by hour. Or I can stay home and for $20 all in watch a show in my home theater.
In order to make sense of the tightening of purse strings due to revenue stream shrinkage, the “stars” have to get mad at someone. So it’s Trump. Must be, right?
