Gwen Stacy, rock and roll darling of Earth-65, bitten by a radioactive spider (and that was just the beginning), swings into danger as the incredible GHOST-SPIDER every month in the pages of her very own comic book...which I GET TO WRITE.

Like, last night I was on the phone with my editor talking about what we're going to do for issue #10 (oh man y'all are going to love issue #10 SO MUCH I cannot BELIEVE I get to do what I'm doing), and I was like...this is my life. How is this my life?

But anyway! We're not here to talk about me. We're here to talk about the inimitable GWEN STACY.

Gwen is familiar to most Spider-fans: she was Peter Parker's first serious girlfriend. She died during a fight with the Green Goblin, because gravity is real and superheroics come with a cost.

But the multiverse is vast and the Web of Life and Destiny slings its strands wide, and on another Earth--on Earth-65, where things are just a little different--she didn't die. She took up the mantle of Spider-Woman, and she LIVED. Oh, how incredibly she lived.

Most recently, she lived through Spider-Geddon, at the cost of some truly beloved friends, and is now trying to figure out, in the wake of life and love and loss, in a world without a secret identity...who is Gwen Stacy? Who does she WANT to be?

Today sees the release of SPIDER-GWEN: GHOST-SPIDER issue #5, "Impossible Year," and the beginning of our first real arc. It's fast, it's fun, it's hectic as hell, and I loved writing every single moment of it.

The art, by @takmiyazawa, is incredible, as are the colors, by Ian Herring. Our editorial team, @EDevinLewis and Lauren Amaro, did a great job of making sure we didn't get distracted by the shiny and run off chasing rainbows. It's such a good book, y'all. I'm so happy.

Like I said last night, I want to keep doing this, oh, forever. Forever would be great. So please pick up a copy of SPIDER-GWEN: GHOST-SPIDER #5 today. I promise it's a good jumping-on point, and we're gonna have a real good time.
