There are a lot of people who are discounting the Blackness of people who have an Afro-Latino heritage because they idiotically think they are not African Descendents of Slavery or *ADOS* because they seem to think only the United States enslaved Africans. Ignorant numpties. 1/
Slavery was not abolished in Puerto Rico until 1873 and even then they were not emancipated. They had to buy their freedom. Slaves in PR resisted, as they did everywhere, even the independence movement was powered by slave resistance.

The introduction explains the rationale for the book and its organizing themes. McRae describes the conventional history of the Massive Resistance, the fight to preserve segregation and the Jim Crow South. Generally, it's perceived as a reaction to Federal decisions, led by

Let's talk about defining a price for one-time payment products.

When I saw that @gumroad supported Pay What You Want, I had no doubt that this would be the pricing strategy for CSS Scan.

I'd always recommend PWYW with a minimum price instead of a fixed pricing. Why? [...]
It turns out that some people just value your product more than others!

👉 With PWYW you're not only receiving the value that you expected but also donations for a good work.

Plus, with a minimum price, you'll at least earn the same amount you were supposed to if it was fixed.
💡 You only need 1 person paying more to already make it worth.

It's not easy, though. CSS Scan started at $1.99. It was selling like water, so I raised the price to $2.99, and after that, $3.99 - in about 3 days.

❗️ What I didn't expect was that 30% of people were paying more!

(2) OK I used a little poetic license in Tweet #1. They can't know exactly what the votes will be; there's more than one way to #ConfirmKavanaugh next week. Any judge *could* theoretically be impeached on a new issue, but IMHO Kav is the least likely person ever to commit crime.
(3) I've had it with all the shrieking over this confirmation. No, ongoing Democrat slime ball tactics to undermine Kav once he's on the SCOTUS are not going to succeed. Haven't you learned this by now?

Commerce txns in Africa happens this way.

1. People and business
2. Business and suppliers
3. Business and creditors

Payments is NOT always about commerce. eg P2P then B2G or P2G are obligations.

Payments has NOT been able to fully solve problems in those 3 areas of commerce.
We keep thinking that B2S and B2C payments are P2P and that is where we keep missing it. That is where most of the informal loans are and those are creditor settlements or direct lending.
African commerce needs MORE than payments. It needs process optimization. Instead of solving a process optimization problem including elements of payments and lending, we end up doing just one thing and skewing things.
