OK, let's do a rundown of this train wreck health care plan from @RepJayapal, shall we?
1. It would socialize the entire private health care sector, mandating only govt insurance.

2. It would sunset Medicare and Medicaid, which are both popular, while (ironically) maintaining the two worst govt health care systems in existence today: the Veterans Affairs health system and the Indian Health Services.
3. The plan would cover fast more than Medicare does, and would be more generous than any current plan among major Western countries.

4. Plan does not require consumers pay any out-of-pocket spending on health aside from prescription drugs...no copays, etc.

7. As usual, take my advice: Don't take any plan that doesn't solve the cost problem seriously.

I am not a single payer guy.
But if you are a single payer advocate, you should be very angry at proposals like this. They are not well thought out, not politically astute, and make their cause more difficult.
