If @aoc genuinely believed that the human species is facing an existential crisis, then presumably her personal choices would reflect that belief. It is entirely legitimate to point out that she is not acting like someone who believes the world is about to end.
By disdaining public transportation and recycling while baying about climate apocalypse, @aoc is like a boycott promoter who excepts herself from the choices she demands from everyone else.
No serious environmentalist believes that any single individual’s choices will solve the problem. But every serious environmentalist tries to reduce her carbon footprint in order to bear witness and model sound collective behavior.
.@aoc has no history of environmental activism, has no connections with the global climate justice movement, has never attended a climate conference or belonged to an environmentalist organization.
That such a person is promoted by the ruling class as world leader of the climate change movement should tell you something. The fix is in.
