I submit that the experiences (assignments) in The Writer's Practice are highly resistant to plagiarism. By drawing in intrinsic motivation and making the process the point of the exercise, plagiarizing simply does not compute. penguinrandomhouse.com/books/566892/t…
I suppose if I managed to sell 100's of thousands of copies and students were completing the experiences and posting them to the net, someone could find an artifact to submit as their own, but then they'd lack the process supporting documentation.
Ok, ok, perhaps someone could also acquire the process supporting documentation, but don't forget, every experience originates in the writer's unique intelligence, and they're still going to have to do a reflection which gets at the process. They will be found out!
Kidding aside, my experience is that students genuinely get into doing these experiences because they allow for agency and exploration. Students learn stuff in the doing and my view is that students generally do enjoy learning. School? Not always. Learning? Most def.
