To adequately deal with gun ownership, it is necessary to deal with the marketing of guns; and also come up with strategies to deal with the one upmanship psychology of human nature.

It’s a good thing to have positive leadership by example.
I can’t think of any good reason for anyone (other than certain members of the police (while on the job), or military (while on active duty in a war zone) to possibly “need” a semi-automatic or automatic weapon.

Historically, even police & members of military can go bonkers and kill people (or get burgled).
IMO - not even police or military should be able to store semi-automatic or automatic weapons at home; they should not be for sale in gun stores; and they should be audited yearly
