I've expected this move, which could make a cert petiton viable for argument and decision October 2019 term--right in time for the election
My tentative explanation: if #SCOTUS declares Obamacare unconstitutional, then Trump can claim victory as the Obamacare slayer. And if #SCOTUS upholds Obamacare, he can run on the platform of needing more votes to repeal. Either way, he claims victory.
In any event, expect oral arguments in the 5th Circuit the week of July 8. This date puts us on track for a decision by the early fall, and an orderly cert petition by November/December 2019.

This is a good point. Reviving cities like Cleveland, Youngstown, St. Louis, etc., as well as uncountable small cities most people haven't heard of, is still a more important task than making San Francisco more affordable.

Luck has it @replit Multiplayer was released the same week as the 50th anniversary of Mother of All Demos. In it, Engelbart showed a similar collaborative computing system.

But focusing on the tools is missing the point -- the philosophy behind the demo is what matters:
Engelbart and his contemporaries saw computers as primarily a tool for mind extension. Something we can use to augment our intellect to take on more and do more.

This sits in stark contrast to today's computers as the driver for the attention economy.

To understand Engelbart it's important to not view him as a lone inventor genius a la Tesla that predicted what computers could do 50 years ahead of his time. In his own words you can see that they took a much more interesting approach to discovery:

Today I got bored and wondered what would the US look like if each state was a voronoi cell with each capitol as its centroid.

So of course I had to see it.
Couple of things: the US’ three largest cities have changed states. New York City is now in New Jersey, Los Angeles is in Arizona, and Chicago is in Wisconsin.
Other cities that have changed states include Philadelphia NJ, Charlotte SC, Memphis AR, San Diego AZ, St. Louis IL, Las Vegas AZ, Cincinnati KY, and Kansas City... well, KS.
