Met Police confirm three arrests after they launched a criminal investigation into allegations of anti-Semitism against individuals in the Labour Party.

Understood the three individuals are no longer members of the Labour Party after disciplinary action was taken against them.

The arrests follow Met launching a criminal investigation into a number of individuals, who at the time were Labour Party members.

We had the document analysed by Mak Chishty, who ran the Met’s hate crime unit before he retired.
He found 17 cases should be recorded as hate crime incidents and four crossed the threshold for criminal investigation.

Cressida Dick asked specialist officers to review the document.
In November, following that review, the Met launched a criminal investigation. The three arrests announced today are a result of that.
