The problem with all this is it reduces both 'Labour anti-Semitism' and 'Windrush' down to party political scandals. Old Labour drafted some of the legislation that has left the Windrush generation subject to deportation now.
Gove deciding it wasn't politically expedient to criticise Victor Orban, who has run actual anti-Semitic campaigns in Hungary, similarly shows the Tories are quite happy with anti-Semitism almost anywhere outside the Labour Party.

When Labour front bencher Barry Gardiner challenged TV media on interview double standards, he said the Tories should be challenged more for not being tough enough on immigration.

The Labour anti-Semitism scandal has reached the point where Rachel Riley, presenter of the TV quiz show 'Countdown' is citing Chomsky and the Faurisson affair. As usual all the reactions to this are fucking terrible, so here's some quick background.
Faurisson was a well known French Holocaust denier. Here's a couple of his books to establish that for those not familiar. There are multiple obituaries online.
Chomsky is a free-speech absolutist, so similar-ish to the ACLU's defence of Nazis' right to march at Skokie in 1978, he's also been outspoken against the prosecution of holocaust deniers in France.

#otd 23rd October 1956, an uprising in Hungary broke out. Twelve days of street fighting ended with the arrival of Soviet tanks, but the workers councils continued for two months. libcom.org/library/hungar…
Hungary '56 was the first outbreak of workers councils in the USSR. The official communist parties lined up behind the tanks, and their members left in droves. Peter Fryer, a correspondent for the Daily Worker, resigned so he could publish this account. libcom.org/library/hungar…
This outbreak of workers councils, without any communist party to lead them (because the Communist Party was the state and employer) profoundly influenced people like CLR James and Grace Lee Boggs, who wrote Facing Reality in response. libcom.org/library/facing…

1/11 The results are in and as expected the left of the party are the ones celebrating. However a closer look reveals a more interesting picture (see attached photo).
2/11 Turnout was poor - Ann Black has reported only 20% of members voted last year and there is an unconfirmed figure this year being floated of 17%

Okay, since we're debating anti-semitism again, let's have a quick run-through of what #Labour might have done, and what they have done.
Have they announced a specific speech by the Leader, or Deputy Leader, admitting mistakes in the past, and laying out a *specific* policy agenda to tackle the problem? No.
Have they admitted that, while of course one finds AS in lots of places, there is a *particular variant* of the curse on the Left, which is insidiously worming its way into the party's DNA? No.

Thread: Today I have led 140 MPs from 6 parties urging @theresa_may to take immediate action to address the #Windrush crisis. What is going on is grotesque, immoral and inhumane. It is a stain on our nation’s conscience and the PM must act urgently to right this historic wrong.
After World War II we invited the Windrush Generation over as citizens to help rebuild our country, and now their children are being treated like criminals. The government is essentially stripping people of the rights that our government itself granted decades ago.
These individuals have done nothing wrong and there is no basis upon which the Home Office can justify what they are doing. These individuals have lived in this country for decades – working hard, paying taxes, raising their families and contributing so much to our country.
