On the day Article 50 was invoked, Vote Leave’s chief executive Matthew Elliott said he was confident everything would be wrapped up within two years and that "all the problems that you traditionally have with a trade negotiation aren't there".
In the days leading up to its invocation, he wrote a piece for BrexitCentral celebrating the "50 groups behind Article 50", saying, "We can look forward to Theresa May triggering Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty before the end of the month". brexitcentral.com/50-groups-behi…
So when Elliott now tells @TomMcTague that invoking Article 50 was a mistake, this is just self-serving revisionism. He was celebrating it at the time.

A simple binary referendum question must be offered. (2/x)
The petition must be signed by 2.5% of the electorate and they suggest an online process. (The revoke Article 50 petition easily meets this threshold.) (3/x)

Just consider how little storage space you have!

Each year you live 365 days. At most you will recall a few hours worth of memory from each year, and not even that prior to age 12.

NEXT CONSIDER....
You're working at a certain job for 3 years. You meet and get to know your colleagues well.

Then you switch jobs and meet a new set of people. Within a year, you hardly interact with those old colleagues, and often it's you who has to reach out to get in touch with them again.
Why?

Because you're in a computer program and most of them are droids at one level of the game that you get through (win or lose).

The system doesn't have enough capacity to keep up EVERY element you encounter simultaneously, all the time at the same time!
