Michael's right. Marketing of *perfect* marriages & homes means that a "good" marriage & home (or even a "good enough" marriage & home) is no longer legitimate.
When *perfect* is the standard, people will misunderstand what's necessary for a good marriage & won't enter into it, holding out for something better. They'll also be tempted to divorce when marriage falls on tough times.
Marriage is a lot harder than we make it look in the church. But in some ways, it's also a lot easier. Your spouse isn't your ultimate soulmate (no one needs that kind of pressure) & your children don't exist to prove how good of a person you are.
Family is about partnership in the work of the generations. It's about being a blessing to each other & the world around you. It's not about power or performance or competition. It's about relationship & community & life-giving love.

This is important point that bears amplifying:
ISTM that whites are just now realizing that the US marketplace works against their family formation & resulting social stability b/c they're seeing it among poor white communities, but the US marketplace has been at odds w/ families for 100s of years.
A marketplace that willingly sacrificed black families will come for white families soon enough. If your neighbors' families aren't safe, yours isn't either.

In my experience, one of the challenges to understanding how often "white nationalism" & "Christianity" intersect is that evangelicals often lack a category for religion as part of cultural.
We're taught to think about "Christianity" primarily in terms of personal conversion. This sets up 2 categories: true believers & non-believers.
Add to this the belief that church is comprised of regenerate membership & it's easy to lose the category of religious non-believers or uncoverted "Christians" altogether.

There isn't any acceptable position that stems from right wing politics. The decisions made through the lens of capitalism quite literally kill our planet by the day, while conservative social ideas create marginalization actively sabotaging the freedom of billions worldwide.
The toxic concoction of both creates a world in which bigotry is a structural tool to maximize power, where terms of freedom and violence can be redefined to suit the needs of capitalist control, where the wellbeing of us all is a footnote alongside the profit margins of a few.
Millions die yearly for and because of the right wing systems of control. Starving, homeless and ill while food, housing and medication sits unused, commodified by the wealthy at the expense of human lives. Capitalism's existence is a crisis of society - for many, a death knell.
