The House Judiciary Committee voted 24-17 to give Nadler the power to subpoena Barr for Mueller's report. All of the Republicans who opposed the subpoena were part of a unanimous House vote in March in which members voted 420-0 to release the report. bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

To clarify: Barr has no evidence of improprieties in the FBI investigation, including “spying,” but wants to examine the matter anyway because he has "concerns" and because, as he said, he believes spying did occur (even if he hasn’t seen evidence of it) bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

Shocker: Bill Barr—appointed AG after giving Trump a 19-page memo saying Trump didn't obstruct justice—just exonerated Trump of obstruction of justice. Mueller specifically said "this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him"
Mueller couldn't establish corrupt intent for obstruction of justice b/c Trump refused to talk w/ investigators. W/o putting Trump under oath, Barr exonerates him. Barr was put in charge of DOJ to salvage the GOP—even if it meant letting Trump get away with everything. Shameful.
.@JeffreyToobin points out the impropriety of AG Barr concluding no obstruction of justice when the whole point of appointing a special counsel was b/c Trump’s political appointees—like AG—have an inherent conflict of interest. And now we see, AG Barr is indeed Trump’s lackey.

1/ Late last night @WSJ reported that Attorney General nominee William Barr wrote a memo and sent it to Rod Rosenstein (who oversaw Mueller) as well as the head of DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel (which decides thorny legal issues for DOJ). Link to the memo: drive.google.com/file/d/1j9vfRi…
2/ The memo is 19 pages long, single spaced. My initial reaction is that this memo took many hours for Barr to write—it is full of various legal citations and Barr’s analysis. At the time, Barr was a high-powered lawyer in private practice.
