Saw this question and felt compelled to respond.

Today I am making the point that psychological manipulation & intimidation is being employed by far right to quell dissent to their ideology.
Federal and provincial conservatives continue to frame independent analysis & rejection of their ideology as “anti-Canadian”, “anti-Albertan”, “anti-oil”, “anti-Family”. The implication is that dissent to their ideology is equivalent to treason and subversive.
When a citizen fears for their safety or expects vandalism for posting a candidates election sign, we’ve normalized their intimidation.

The transformation of our collective understanding of freedom of speech has been insidious and purposeful.
No citizen, in a free democracy, should fear anything for demonstrating support for a party that represents their values & beliefs.

Yet, here’s evidence that we’ve slipped into acquiescence much quicker than thought possible.
This election in Alberta on April 16, 2019 is a choice between freedom of thought, of political allegiance, of expression, of speech.

There is a malevolent, violent and manipulative mob trying to bully their way into the seat of government.
We either acquiesce to psychological manipulation, & become part of the hive.

Or we choose to push back on the intrusion of far right extremist ideologues.

There’s only one choice for freedom.

Make your vote count!

The commentary chastising Charles Adler for his interview of Jason Kenney is proof of the tactic I just described above.

Today, Mr. Adler is the target of those using intimidation and claims of betrayal because he dared to challenge Kenney yesterday.
