Now @SANDAG Executive Director Hasan Ikhrata is speaking about millennials and how different we are from previous generations, debt and all.

Time for the Hyperloop and tech discussion. Hasan is arguing that tech is being developed much faster than ever and must be part of our planning, even if we can’t predict the future.

The grand vision: take the Hyperloop to Grand Central Station, transfer to a people mover that will get you to the airport in 2 minutes. The blue line and the coaster need to be triple tracked, too.

Hasan says that it’s ridiculous to see a transit station with parking lots. It needs to be mixed use 💯 💯 💯

Since the recession, SD has flipped to building more multi family than single family homes. But affordability has been below 30% ever since then.

Top 10 fastest growing jobs. They lines indicate the income needed to afford a rental or single family home. Only 2/10 of these jobs can afford a single family home in SD.

We’re paying so much for housing in SD!!! Adjusted cost of living shows that SD isn’t even competitive with the Bay Area 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
