Swiss Post keep saying that they will be fixing *the* (singular) critical issue found in the source code. Which honestly doesn't give me any kind of confidence at all.
It's fine, not like this system is being used around the world to choose governments or anything.
The scytl system has more utility as a teaching tool than an actual voting system.
Seriously, anything short of full public inquiries (in both Switzerland and New South Wales) into this disaster is a failure of government.
A live voting system had to be critically patched *during an election* because an overconfident corporation in a completely different country wanted some free publicity from a watered down bug bounty.

If you live in New South Wales you should be demanding that @NSWElectoralCom immediately open source their (your!) entire system so experts can verify the claims made by Scytl.
For all the ridiculous speculation over voting system security that mainstream media across the world have engaged in the last few years, there has been almost no coverage of this whole saga outside of Switzerland, and almost none in Australia.
This was a rare look into the inner workings of a major evoting system, and I do hope that there are some investigative journalists out there who are inspired to dive in deeper into this world, because I very much doubt this problem is contained to Scytl, Switzerland and NSW.
