Meet @BlackConsrvConf, an automated account purporting to be the official Twitter feed of the "Black Conservative Conference". Once upon a time, it followed banned Internet Research Agency accounts @TEN_GOP, @Pamela_Moore13, and @USA_Gunslinger.

First things first - @BlackConsrvConf is automated, currently posting all tweets via dlvr(dot)it. The operators of the account have experimented with other automation services as well since creating it in 2015.
What does @BlackConsrvConf tweet about? Mostly, it links articles from right-wing news sites in an automated fashion. Despite being the official Twitter account of the Black Conservative Conference, it has no links whatsoever to the organization's website.
Additionally, the "official Twitter account of the Black Conservative Conference" has never tweeted the phrase "Black Conservative Conference". Upon further googling, there's no evidence any organization by that name or using the logo shown on the account actually exists.

News of Julian Assange's arrest spread quickly. We analyzed the first 72 minutes' worth of tweets following the arrest containing both "Assange" and a link to a website other than Twitter (29632 tweets from 23996 accounts) and categorized them by site linked.

The official announcement of Assange's arrest from the Metropolitan Police spread first, followed by RT's coverage (Ruptly was notably the only outlet to get video), followed by various Western sites and Wikileaks itself.

(907 accounts excluded due to no retweet relationships.)
What about bots? Of 23996 accounts, 2101 (8.8%) are mostly/fully automated based on 24/7 activity or app/service usage; these accounts posted 3202 of 29362 tweets (10.9%.) An additional 598 accounts (2.5%) automate some of their tweets, including 861 Assange tweets (2.9%).

In light of a recent encounter with an overly eager and frequently ignored purveyor of #WhiteGenocide conspiracy theories, we downloaded tweets containing the hashtag, resulting in 2443 from 757 accounts in the last 10 days. #AltWankers

The content of the #WhiteGenocide tweets consists largely of variations on the obvious theme, to the extent that there are multiple permutations of "it's ok to be white" present as hashtags. What do the accounts tweeting the hashtag look like?

If you're old enough to remember the early days of the web you've probably seen the Hamster Dance, which was arguably a meme before memes were a thing. On that note, let's look at a @wendytheflea, supposed resistance account with a fondness for hamster memes.

At first glance, things seem fairly normal. @wendytheflea's tweet schedule looks organic, and the vocabulary used mirrors the account's theoretical focus on resisting the Trump administration.
Things start getting interesting when we dig into @wendytheflea's memes. Many have giant borders, which could confuse reverse image search. Google doesn't find a match, but identifies this image as "Хомяки Фото" (hamster photo in Russian). Yandex does find one of the photos.

I can still find tens of thousands of russia's bots online but for some reason twitter refuses to count them as "internet research agency" accounts.

I have given them something like 45,000 accounts so far, but we still have only around 4000 accounts listed by twitter officially.
not sure what's going on that the accounts can't be connected to the troll factory. But they are doing the same thing that is in this report. Bitly short links.
I mean these are literally THE BEST EXAMPLES of russian troll twitter accounts you can find on the internet.

they shared the white house petition: ALASKA BACK TO RUSSIA.

But twitter won't flag them as IRA accounts?

Twitter has decided to suspended another 300+ Internet Research Agency accounts.
I tweeted this screencap out August 1st and my list had 321 members.
Now there are 4 left.
I originally started complaining about them back in February.
@bpopken and @NBC published a database of tweets making it easy to find these accounts.

The accounts were dormant, but could be activated at anytime.

Just like an infomercial: but wait there's always more!
