@AmazonHelp Ahem. I'm sure you know this is now SYSTEMIC. Here's what the live chat agent said at the end of our long and unsatisfying chat:
"Delivery was never our choice but due our increasing customer demand and limited shipping option with third party carriers we had no choice." /cont'd
@AmazonHelp /2 Then, when I said I don't want Amazon Prime to be used for delivery (I'd pay to go back to reliable UPS delivery), he said too bad, I have no choice: "Currently carriers are automatically assigned and customer are unable to select specific carriers." Seriously??
@AmazonHelp /3 Search Twitter for "amazon UPS" for other customers' complaints.

/4 I've been an Amazon customer since 1998 (one of the earliest) and this is the first time I've been not only amazed at the stupidity but honestly worried about the company's intelligence & customer focus

I have failed at many business ventures in the past and, because of my failures, I learned a lot.

Here are a list of the businesses I created and why they failed (obviously condensed as best as possible for Twitter).
My first attempt at a business was a website called College Reg my freshman year at the University of Arizona.

I had a dope idea to aggregate content about crazy stories from college students into one website.

A couple of my buddies liked the idea so we tried to roll with it.
In the mess of being drunk/high most of my days, I attempted to organize a few other buddies to build this idea with me.

They were verbally enthusiastic, but their actions did not mirror their words.

This is where I first learned the importance of who I surrounded myself with.

I was reading Why Does He Do That? by Lundy Bancroft, and he talks about the different personalities of abuse

My mind immediately went to a friend crunching right now at a game company & I thought— whoa, these REALLY apply to companies too

Here they are, applied to companies:
Drill sergeant: Micromanages you, wants to control everything

Mr Sensitive: Builds up a strong public image of being a great company so people think you’re crazy if you criticize them
The Water Torturer: Is an expert at not doing anything obviously wrong, you feel drained and hurt but can’t pinpoint why and wonder if you’re crazy or it’s your fault
