The #MuellerReport is live. @MikevWUSA, @LauraGellerTV and I are digging in and will report what we find. Read it yourself here: justice.gov/storage/report…
Here's the #MuellerReport on the issue of "collusion" / "coordination" nomenclature.
I'm looking at the section on "active measures" taken by the Russian government to interfere/influence the election. #MuellerReport says the Internet Research Agency started out w/ "generalized program" to undermine U.S. electoral system, but eventual targeted supporting Trump.
The #MuellerReport says a redacted person "forecast" to senior Trump Campaign officials that Wikileaks would release harmful information about Hillary Clinton.
Russian social media campaign and GRU hacking operations "coincided with a series of contacts between Trump Campaign officials and individuals with ties to the Russian government." However, while Russia "worked to secure" Trump victory, investigation did not establish conspiracy.
Papadopoulous worked for months to set up meeting to get "dirt" on Clinton, but it didn't materialize. Trump Jr., Kushner and Manafort met w/ Russian lawyer for express purpose of getting incriminating info on Clinton, but didn't actually receive any. #MuellerReport
#MuellerReport points out that less than an hour after the Access Hollywood tape was release, Wikileaks dropped its second batch of emails that had been stolen by the Russians.
Here's the #MuellerReport's explanation of the decision on no conspiracy charges: "Numerous" links found between the Trump Campaign and the Russian government, but not sufficient evidence to file criminal charges.
#MuellerReport on the lies by Trump Campaign affiliates that "materially impaired" the investigation.
#MuellerReport says investigators weren't able to obtain all the documents they wanted because Trump Campaign affiliates either deleted communications or used encrypted communication services.
Here are the numbers from the #MuellerReport: 2,800 subpoenas; 500 search-and-seizure warrants; 230 communications records; 50 pen registers; 500 witnesses.
Nearly the entire section on the structure of the Internet Research Agency is redacted. #MuellerReport
Here's Press Sec. Sarah Sanders admitting to the FBI that she made stuff up whole cloth. #MuellerReport
One of the more riveting sections of the #MuellerReport, no doubt. It's about the Internet Research Agency's efforts to organize rallies, including a "confederate rally." Other sections talk about their pro-confederate social media posts.
More on the Internet Research Agency's front groups. Here they pose as "Miners for Trump" for a rally organized in Pennsylvania. #MuellerReport. The Trump Campaign itself actually promoted at least one of their rallies in Miami, albeit unknowingly.
At the end of the #MuellerReport they list 14 cases referred to other jurisdictions for prosecution. Of them, only two -- Michael Cohen and Gregory Craig -- are unredacted.
Mueller goes into some detail about how they found the written responses from President Trump "inadequate" and why they decided not to pursue a subpoena. Sure would like to know what's in that redacted grand jury section... #MuellerReport
It's not surprising the special counsel wasn't satisfied with the President's answers, since they were pretty much all some version of "I don't recall." But here's his answer to the infamous request for Russia to "find" Hillary Clinton's emails. #MuellerReport
There's a whole subsection titled "Donald Trump Jr. Interaction with WikiLeaks," but it's just two or three Twitter DMs. #MuellerReport
