In response to conflict of interest accusations.

Barr: I haven't been the only decision-maker here. Let's take Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein...He has 30 years experience. And he had a number of senior prosecutors involved in this.
Harris: Rosenstein a key witness in the firing of Comey.

Although somewhat convoluted, Harris now seems to be trying to taint Rosenstein.
Expect more of this tactic and increased focus as Dems wake up to Rosenstein's role.

Who, exactly, is "they"?
Note that he he says it twice.

I'm hard pressed to see this as a "slip"
I don't see this as a direct reference to Barr, Horowitz, Huber, etc.

They would already have access.

Perhaps it's equally appropriate to focus on the word "need"

When would "THEY" "NEED" everything declassified?

Serhiy Leshchenko was busy in 2016.

Not only did he leak the Ukrainian Black Ledger that took down Manafort, but he was a source for several different people.

Including Michael Isikoff and Alexandra Chalupa, with whom he reportedly discussed Manafort.

Leshchenko also served as a "source" for Fusion GPS - and Nellie Ohr.

In Dec '18, a Kyiv court ruled that Leshchenko, along with NABU Director Artem Sytnyk “acted illegally when they revealed that Manafort’s surname and signature were found in the so-called “black ledger.”
Questions relating to Chalupa:

1) How did she know in Jan 2016 that Manafort would be joining the Trump Campaign? Who was DNC official she told this to?

2) How many times did she talk w/Leshchenko?

3) Did Leshchenko tell her of the Black Ledger & when? Was Manafort mentioned?

Rosenstein's successor, Jeffrey Rosen, hasn't been confirmed by the Senate. He had a hearing on April 10 and the committee hasn't voted yet on his nomination.
