Senate adopted amendments on severability and on SBOE TEKS used in assessments (bill moves assessment rules from SBOE to Commissioner).
Senate adopted amendment to create Tax Reduction and Excellence in Education (TREE) Fund dedicating Economic Stabilization funds to M&O tax relief, certain ASF funds for Tier 1, and new Wayfair sales tax for for M&O tax relief effective in 2020.
Another amendment to specify amount of tax relief is adopted.
Amendment for small and mid size district formula is provided for special education under amendment that mirrors House lanaguage. Fails 15-16.
