Honestly it feels as though it would’ve been better for the Democrats to have lost the House in November then for them to have won it only to have their most powerful member say this.
I don’t think Democrats realize how many people out there do not have as an end goal Democrats winning but Republicans being defeated. There’s a serious distinction there, and they should recognize it.

I'm no lawyer or poly sci, but logically the govt shouldn't allow companies to harm its citizens nor violate their constitutional rights. If #Facebook and friends had formidable alternative competitors this wouldn't be such a big deal; but they don't, nor will they ever. #BigTech
Their power is so absolute and concentrated, it will be literally impossible for any other company to start up and surpass them. This is akin to a mom-and-pop shop trying to take out Walmart; it's not going to happen and they know it.
Going to Gab or other sites does not solve the problem. It removes and quarantines you from engaging in larger public discourse . Such sites are basically echo-chambers. There you will find victims of political discrimination like yourself and you will be preaching to the choir.

(1) A quick thread about dumb assertions that distort what I say.

Here's something I said against the idea that a social media platform that has no limits on free speech should be supported.

I joined Gab b4 it launched, but soon gave up using it. I'm NOT a free speech purist.
(2) This logically fallacious reply earned a block. There's just no point wasting time engaging with replies like this.

Clearly, I didn't "blame Gab." I merely expressed my view about the policy and legal issues involved. But this account decided to lie about me.
(3) It then got silly.

We ask: Is the unabashed, coordinated #censorship of #Twitter, #Facebook, and other social media platforms an illegal affront to freedom of speech?

In the case of Twitter, at least, we do appear to have an affirmative answer to the question.
It was also interesting to note that it was not primarily left or right-leaning outlets which were banned: both sides were purged, indicating that it is anti-establishment thought in general that is perceived as a threat, not a specific flavor of it.
