US Secretary of State, Pompeo makes an overt claim to Canadian territory, Northwest Passage, at the Arctic Council. Stressing & amplifying fear of Russian & Chinese threat (two of the new US Trump Administration allies).

Followed up by Peter McKay, a FORMER Harper government MP, further amplifying fears of Russian military presence in far north.

Perhaps CTV should ask the current government’s position vs a former MP. Ignoring the sitting LPC govt delegitimizes their authority to govern.

Notice how McKay distinctly signals Canada will negotiate US access to the now open passage (due to global warming) & approve passage.

Canada now needs a refueling station, & a pipeline to supply the fuel. That’s a clear indication climate action isn’t a CPC concern.

CPC won’t make climate action a priority, when profits for Canada & industry investors in a refueling station & the pipeline are currently on the table.

Mentioning the fragile ecosystem of the North is hilarious, since global warming will destroy it long before a pipeline will.

McKay also stresses the need for military presence & defence capacity, signalling military procurement is on the table. He mentions an ice breaker and nuclear subs. Military procurements mean hundreds of Billions are on the table. What a willing partner CPC is to Trump’s demands.

McKay is speaking directly to Trump and his administration. Quid pro quo in a public forum. Canada keeps sovereign control of Northwest Passage, and in exchange, billions of military procurement contracts to follow, along with approval for pipeline & refueling station.

Canada is dependant upon NORAD for defence. McKay indicates Canada (if CPC governed) would be open to renegotiating NORAD & joining the US Missile Defence Program. More quid signalling apparently; missile defence requires a land base & funding for construction & maintenance.

Low and behold, Scheer is expected to announce the CPC policy platform indicating this proposed action in May 7, 2019 speech. The first of his 5 speech CPC election platform tour.

This interview by Don Martin isn’t a news broadcast, it’s free advertising for Scheer’s Federal election campaign. Drumming up fear in electorate, followed by reassurance CPC government would make defence of Canada paramount.

Trump announced his plans for Missile Defence Program in January 2019. Emphasizing emphatically the required financial commitments of allies and benefactors such as Canada.

So I take it Scheer is fine with Trump dictating our defence commitments?

If we take McKay at his word, Scheer’s platform will confirm, the US is welcome to dictate our defence policy & to commit Billions of our public funds to pay for US expansion of Missile Defence. But please, do scare us more so the electorate is motivated to vote CPC.

Could this be anymore obvious that CPC & the Trump administration are ideologically aligned? CPC isn’t even bothering to disguise their commitment to support Trump’s foreign policy & capitulate to Trump’s agenda. In fact it’s being sold as a feature of a CPC majority government.

Has anyone noticed US is currently in a constitutional crisis? Trump is ignoring the rule of law & in the process of destroying US institutions like Congress, independent judiciary, law & order.

The US is currently a Dictatorship run by a Russian asset. It’s not a democracy.

So what else are CPC planning to capitulate to Dictator Trump’s administration? Climate action, border control, private militias, foreign policy, health policy, democracy? Pay attention to Scheer’s platform.

What will it take to get progressives feeling ‘betrayed’ by PR broken promises to recognize a progressive FPTP majority will block CPC completely from a seat at the decision table. PR would guarantee the CPC governs. We CANNOT ELECT CPC or give them power. It will destroy us all.
