While we have heard a lot about Veer Savarker apologizing to British, I m sure most of you wd never have heard about this Letter of Gandhiji to Cleimsford during World war.

You all would be as shocked as me after reading this 👇

A must read part of Gandhiji's letter - concern for Hindus means DIVISIVE Politics as per Times article, but Gandhiji's concern for the minorities is what made him MAHATMA and lead the foundation of Congress Ideology
Most Important part of the entire letter is these last lines.

If #VeerSavarkar is defamed as a traitor for APOLOGY to British , then what will you say about this EULOGY of MAHATMA ?

Should chapters on Gandhiji be removed as per logic of Rajasthan Govt ?
Thousands gave their lives for freedom struggle ,but we know nothing about their families, not even families of great leaders like Patel,Shastri , Ambedker, Bose n others

Even Gandhiji's family was sidelined. One Single family

अतः तय हुआ कि राजपरिवार के एशोआराम के बाद बचा धन "न्याय" के नाम पर गरीबों को दान किया जाए ताकि वो राजपरिवार के पुराने अन्याय भूल जाए व चौकीदार के बहकावे में न आए ।

Jews were not displacing Arabs, they were attracting them.

So last night I had the pleasure (!) of having to sit through the AGM of "Lewisham Momentum", during which I not only had to hear tedious speeches about how great Venezuelan + Cuban regimes are, I also saw loads of people wearing and handing out Russian military ribbons. What?
Loads of people who bragged in speeches about how anti-imperialist they were thought wearing the military St. George ribbon made them look cool and edgy.
The Ribbon of St George was designed by Tsarist Russia in the 18th century and used as a military award until the October Revolution got rid of Tsarist-era awards. Naturally it was revived in usage by Stalin during World War II.

Today is the Jayanti of K.S.Thimayya, nicknamed as Timmy, served as Chief of Army Staff from 1957-61 in the years leading up to the war with China. He was also the first to point out the threat from China to Nehru, that was predictably ignored. Legend in military circles.
The only Indian to command an infantry brigade during World War II, and dealt with the repatriation of POWs as head of an UN after the Korean War.Known for his quick wit, fiery temper, a no nonsense attitude, and an independent stance, Thimayya was a legend.
Belonging to the same Kodendera clan of Cariappa, he was born in Madikeri, into a well to do family of coffee planters on March 30, 1906. His mother Sitamma,was well educated and a social worker, while his father Subbayya was another of the well known coffee plantation owners.

During World War 2, the Nazis were afraid of 46th Taman Aviation Regiment (An all female regiment of Soviet Air force).

The Nazis dubbed them the 'Night Witches', on account of the way they would cut their aircraft engines to silently swoop in before dropping their bombs. 1/n
From mechanics to navigators, pilots and officers, the 46th Taman regiment was composed entirely of women.

The women, most of them barely 20 years old, started training in Engels, a small town north of Stalingrad.
The women of the 46th regiment flew their first bombing mission on June 8, 1942.

The air raid consisted of three planes; their target was the headquarters of a German division (Wehrmacht). The raid was successful.
