It is completely crazy to claim those who condemn Pashinyan have mission to undermine his govt. Majority are affected by this vision. Neither they realize they undermine PM themselves, leaving things as is, hoping they do good for revolution/Pashinyan.
Opposition is the major item in the chain of nation-building. I'm scared of regime having obeying brainless ppl always chanting "4 legs good 2 legs better". Call - the King is naked when you witness it, no matter ppl around want to hear it or not.
And my position btw: Pashinyan has to be assisted not to be removed by even more radicals we have in the society, who are absolutely unaware of state governance, but have extra high ambitions & are deaf towards any critics. Sadly, no other way.
Courts blocked by groups of ppl at the behest of Pashinyan.
Constitutional court doors blocked at the moment bit.ly/2WcW7Nu
Sasnta Tsrer lawyer says, nothing dangerous about today's action. "Having a non-governmental judicial system is much more dangerous" bit.ly/2WdSuXu
Can anyone explain me what is "non-governmental judicial system", especially expressed by professional lawyer
"My buddies" (as claimed by @Globalcitizn1 because I dared to say article against them is full of claims w/ no proofs) protesting in near EU office, chanting "Take your puppets back", accusing EU in financing Pashinyan revolution: irresponsible statement I'm sure they can't prove
@Globalcitizn1 Freedom House Special Research director calls Pashinyan fall back to populism, that took him into power
@Globalcitizn1 In today's speech #Pashinyan proposed vetting of judges; urges parliament to draft judicial reform package. Vetting is check on someone's finances, belongings, relations, anything to prove competence bit.ly/2LT8OsI
Was blocking courts required to announce this?
Other point was judges whose verdicts were cancelled in European Court of #HumanRights must resign.
Question: is there a list of all cases Armenia lost in ECHR & names of judges? How many?
Next: all judges, who feel they can't be neutral, must resign.
How to control this action, if no one resigns on this ground? Not clear implementation mechanism.
Next: transitional justice preparations have to be concluded & the new system has to be launched in 1-2 months.
Hope public hearings will be held for ppl to know, which variant of transitional justice Pashinyan is going to launch.
He called on Artsakh ppl to reject those who separate ppl of Armenia & Artsakh, support only those who support legally elected leadership of #Armenia. Others exploit ppl & try to hide crimes committed in the past.
So it's a call to support only him. reject others. Good point :)
He added, blocking courts entrances is a symbol, that no decision by court can be made against ppl will & won't be accepted by ppl.
Symbol? Hn? Was it so much needed to violate constitution to say this? Like major Paine: "For him to forget about pain in legs, I broke his finger"
In next video he stated, our action served its goal, now everyone saw that any illegal interference into court activity will lead to ppl counter-action. Goal is to have a truly independent judicial system.
2 questions here:
* He confirms some illegal interference took place when
Kocharyan was released lately. Are there proofs? Was it a pressure on judges or bribe or what?
* Who is that "people" & its will? Do we have one united ppl or he means ppl are only those who voted for him? Our ppl is segmented & surely not all want what he wants. Not clear here.
Anyway I'm ok about the claimed vetting. Any corrupt judge or any judicial or any governmental official has to be as transparent as possible to prove his right to serve the state. Now that process has to be held clear & include all officials.
And the shiiiit hiiiiits the faaan!
After today's show, the judge canceled the notorious #March1 case hearings & sent it to the constitutional court bit.ly/2EmubMV
I'm sure Hrayr Tovmasyan and the rest of judges are not happy w/ this, but I wonder how prosecutors are gonna handle the dozen constitutional court judges, surely having much more proficiency than entire prosecutor's office all together.
Not clear whether the constitutional court is now to finally define the notion of "Constitutional order overthrow" only, or Kocharyan & Co level of participation & possible guilt
US embassy #Armenia "encourage govt to pursue judicial reform in a manner commensurate with Constitution". Govt backers are taking this as support to Pashinyan actions, anti-govt ppl stress on "constitution" part, conclude no constitution violation encouraged. Not clear though.
And today PACE rapporteurs express concern at Prime Minister’s call to block courts bit.ly/2LWcji4
"Political stakeholders must refrain from actions and statements that could be perceived as exerting pressure on the judiciary". Point is clear
I think PM expected to more benefits from action, than he got. I suppose he just backed off after clear critics by #HumanRights defenders & possibly consultations w/ legal advisors. That let to spineless statement on vetting, that could have been made not violating constitution

#Azerbaijan media shares vid of #Armenia|n Grad in action, claim Armenians target Ganja & Mingechaur.
Armenian Grad has 20km range.
Distance to Ganja: 40km, Mingechaur: 50+.
I trust @ShStepanyan. And there are more important targets, than civilian houses.
One of the most dangerous aspects of war - is endless cycle of revenges. Murder, and revenge, and revenge for revenge, w/ no end. Previous war revenges had already passed away in 30 yrs. No we are gaining new ones. And why is this for? For #Aliyev revanchism?
#Azerbaijan killed 2 #Armenia|n captives, likely #Hadrut district. Video shows an old & a younger man are ordered to approach to Azeri soldiers w/ hands in the air. Next video shows both, old man face covered w/ blood, but moving. Then soldiers gunshot them.
"Families gathered at #Syria-#Turkey border, waiting for drivers to dispense 52 Syrian men bodies, killed in war 600m away. They were mercenaries, recruited by Turkey-backed militias to fight on behalf of #Azerbaijan against #Armenia, relatives said" washingtonpost.com/world/middle_e…
And another flight route to Baku from Bagram, #Afghanistan these day. Afghanistan is very likely provides mercenaries/weaponry to #Azerbaijan.
Air siren wailing in #Stepanakert. Video taken from the open-air cafe, I always go when visiting #Karabakh.
Streets empty, people are in basements under air strike.
This woman's father, husband, brother and son are at front line. They are safe and brave. It's a war. We are going to win like in previous war, she says.
