i love how after you watch a great movie, you walk back into the real world and it feels like you’re still in the world of the movie for a few moments longer. it’s like the movie casts this magic spell on you where for just a few minutes, the world of the movie becomes reality
i just watched john wick 3 then crossed the street and ordered a small coffee the most calmly and confidently i have ever ordered anything in my life
everyone else after watching john wick 3: imagine if the world really had an elaborate and structural society of assassins that follow their own code of honor

burnout is so hard to get out of b/c when you're in it, you ask yourself "what can i do to bring me relief from all this pressure and stress of all this work i need to do?" and the only answer you can think of is "the only thing that will bring me relief is if i finish this work"
i’m such a huge advocate for pursuing multiple projects in multiple fields, but at its worst moments, it feels like focusing on any one project means also bearing the guilt that i am disappointing five other projects at every given time

my family flew in to be in the audience and seth was so kind and talked to them backstage after. elissa was with me the whole time and held my hand when i got nervous before the taping. i love her. she also took this UNCHARACTERISTICALLY snazzy candid photo of me before the show! me standing in my dressing room wearing my suit
im not really sure what to do now so im sorry if i dont have much else to say here for the next little bit! i feel like i spent so much energy preparing for this that im a little spent now. we’re on the train home and i think i’ll need some time to recover. then back to writing!!

basically im just trying to learn to not add pressure or expectation onto something that comes rare enough as it is, and i have found that to be helpful for me

Just some background before we begin, Reign of Fire is a post-apocalyptic fantasy film that was released in 2002.

You might not remember it because it came out the same year as another high profile fantasy film, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
For a seemingly forgettable B movie, the cast is bananas.
