(1) LIKE AND FOLLOWERS DO NOT EQUAL IMPACT. Having tons of followers, getting a ton of likes, that doesn't mean you have the perfect setup to sell.
Which leads me to #2.
We do research, finalizing messaging and we understand the customer we're selling too. And then we take the value points and give them to our sales team.
Social media doesn't make the rules of business irrelevant. It's just another tool for business! You still have to understand WHO your customer is and what they WANT to buy and WHY.
You have to figure out what ROI (end goal) they are looking for and then present your product as THE SOLUTION to their problem. If you can't communicate that, then no sales. That's for any business.
My team and I talk to them every day to help them navigate this online space and it's tough!! I mean, I experienced it as a small business owner myself. It takes time to figure stuff out. IT TAKES TIME!
What small business owners do is that they're great at being an expert in their field like building websites, etc. but they're beginners at online selling.
That's why it's important to work with experts or gather info from their blogs, etc.
Her failure to sell 36 shirts today is a unique opportunity for all of us to understand what it truly takes to be successful in business.
