I'm about to head to the site of We The People's Wall but I want to take a moment to share some things about this historic project that have stood out. The first is just what an incredible leader and patriot @BrianKolfage is.
Take a look at the timeline on this project. The GoFundMe was launched on December 17th. The GFM update and opt-in period started on January 11th. The opt-in period didn't end until late April. In just MONTH'S we have done what the government failed to do for decades.
As a team we decided that the best strategic plan to get wall constructed was for us to keep the details private. As a result @BrianKolfage had to endure thousands of articles, mail, and messages accusing him of being a scammer and keep the evidence of our progress to himself.
It wasn't easy to stand by and watch but it gave us the best chance to get the wall constructed. Priority was always getting the wall built. Another standout is Tommy Fisher and his company who literally built this section of wall on "impossible" terrain over a long weekend.
Tommy started putting panels up less than 24 hours after the @washingtonpost ran a lead story about how @realDonaldTrump kept asking why the government wasn't using Tommy to build. The President was right, Tommy and his team just proved they are the right crew for the job.
To all the people who put their faith in us despite the media attacks, who "opted-in" to the new plan and who gave us the space we needed to get the job done, thank you! You made history and we are honored to deliver for you.
