1. The beautiful thing for us believers is the fact that God’s Word helps us to understand how our world works; how it was created, what it was created for and God’s plan and purposes for it. #Eternity
2. God designed the earth to exist forever and man was created to live forever but something went wrong; man sinned and the earth was cursed for man’s sake. The Bible tells us in Revelation, that there will be a new heaven and a new earth. #Eternity
3. Our focus on this subject is that man was created to live forever. So, God told Adam, ‘if you sin, you will die’. God wasn’t speaking of physical death, but a separation of man from Him – spiritual death. #Eternity
4. It is important to establish that it is man’s body that dies not his spirit. Therefore, man exists after he dies. #Eternity
5. God created time but He is eternal. For Him, the beginning is the same as the end. What God put into man’s body at creation wasn’t just oxygen, it was spirit and soul. Since God is eternal, man’s spirit is also eternal. #Eternity
6. Man is a combination of body & spirit; when he dies his body disintegrates & goes back to the soil but his spirit does not die. That is why the spirit has the capacity to sense eternity & its dimensions beyond the scope of time. #Eternity
7. Time is our opportunity to fulfill God’s purposes here on earth. The life that we live here will influence the life that we will live in eternity. God wants us to consider eternity in the decisions we are making right now. #Eternity
8. It is the fact that one day we will give account of the life we have lived here because the life we have lived here is going to influence the life we will live after now. Man is destined to die once and after that to face judgment. (Heb. 9:27-28) #Eternity
9. Giving account is the most important thing that helps Christians to regulate the life they live here. There is no other opportunity for making up for what we have done wrong after death. The only thing after that is judgment. (Rom. 14:10) #Eternity
10. In Christianity, we have only one law that encompasses all other laws and that is to LOVE. You do good to others and your doing good is motivated from the inside. #Eternity
11. Our focus should be on living our lives to please God (John 8:29). When you are conscious of the fact that one day you will stand before God and give account then what you want to do is to obey His commandment and please Him. 1st Peter 4:3-5 #Eternity
12. Don’t because you don't want to disappoint people or you don’t want to be left out of the crowd then deny Christ and live like everybody else. Just bear in mind that one day everybody is going to get the reward of what they do with their lives. #Eternity
13. I pray in the name of Christ that we are free from every spirit of distraction; that the Holy Spirit will help us all find alignment with God’s plans and purposes for our lives. We shall be empowered to do what is right. #Eternity
