As you know, I do a lot of virtual presentations + mtgs. Stuff goes wrong. But the more we do it, hopefully the better it will get.

Here are the snafus of the last two days:
1/ It took over half an hour to connect to a @GoogleHangout with teachers to talk about how to use Global Weirding in the classroom, after Hangout crashed both my desktop and my laptop. It doesn't like @firefox 😾
2/ @zoom lived up to its rep as 99% perfect, 1% total failure when it took an extra 20 min + a new mtg to get 10 people talking about climate resilience for cities. Might not sound like much, but my days are scheduled by the half hour so one domino cascades down a whole chain 😬
3/ @GoToMeeting worked seamlessly in the test of a live presentation to a hundred young engineers to talk about water management in a changing climate ... but when we went to connect for real, there was no audio for 20 min. As the audience sat there.
4/ Last but not least, my beloved @polleverywhere failed me at the very end, when I invited audience Q's and it told me there there was only ONE, "what is the meaning of life?" Seriously!

Turns out there were actually many, many questions, so ...
5/ I spent my evening recording my answers to the top 7 q's I got from the young engineers this morning. There are some good ones, if you're interested! "Does politics change your data?" and "What's the single most impt thing someone can do about climate?"
I feel like my last two days are somewhat symbolic of our climate action - we struggle, we get frustrated, often every step forward seems like one step back. But we persevere, because we know we're making a difference in the end. Every action counts, every ton matters.
