Friendly reminder:

We can hold our positions deeply & intensely, being fully convinced of their correctness, even attempting to persuade others to them, while simultaneously accepting that our knowledge is limited & we could be wrong.
Humility teaches us the fraility, not of truth, but of our own minds & limited perspectives.
And just as God is gracious to us in our yet unseen ignorance, we extend grace to each other. Praise the Lord that our hope is not in our own minds!
"For by grace are you saved thru faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of good works (or right opinions or having the final say...) lest any man should boast."
As a person regularly tempted by argumentation & the need to be "right," this truth has been freedom to my soul. My right-eouness in not found in my mind. It is found in Jesus Christ,
the Logos of God.
(Also, the lack of a Twitter edit button regularly humbles me. I'd love one, of course, to erase my mistakes & appear perfect before the world. But maybe it's better this way? Or, at the very least, maybe we're bettered by its absence.)
