So it turns out that the woman who tried to get a transit worker fired, and who is suing a small press for disassociating itself from her, might be ... the bad guy?
She was the "victim" of a social media pile-on because she tried to incite a social media pile-on to get someone fired, and instead of walking away, she's filing a lawsuit that will, if successful, destroy a small business.
Kind of seems like a pattern.

In the wake of my stuff on Biden's 1973 speech, a bunch of anti-Bernie people have tweeted at me about his 1972 newspaper essay. But when that essay hit the news, Bernie's people disavowed it—called it "dumb" and stupid." cnn.com/2015/05/28/pol…
And there wasn't any "times have changed" waffling, either. "It was intended to attack gender stereotypes of the '70s, but it looks as stupid today as it was then." Simple, straightforward, done.
The essay issue was one of the incidents, in fact, that I had in mind when I wrote this tweet in yesterday's thread.

Other than a weird Quinnipiac near-tie (12-11) back in April, this is the first primary poll this cycle to put Warren above Bernie.
Individual polls mean basically nothing, and Warren had a bad run of polling just a week ago, so take with an extra large grain of salt. But worth keeping an eye on going forward.
I don't have a strong sense of what comes next if Warren starts polling consistently above Bernie, but it seems pretty clear that it would seriously shake the race up—in a bunch of different ways.

Six-point gap from best to worst among potential Trump challengers, but only a two-point range in Trump's support depending on who's running against him. We see this in poll after poll after poll.
Pretty much any Dem is electable, because most Americans hate Trump. Support who you wanna support.
(Is it guaranteed that Trump loses next year? No. Not at all. But right now supporting the candidate you like best is your best strategy for electing a candidate you like.)

I. AM. LIVID. One of our amazing field staffers took 18(!!) people to get IDs today in downtown Memphis and the woman in charge of the DMV KICKED HER OUT! As soon as she heard what we were doing she decided we couldn't get IDs there anymore. She has BANNED US FROM THE DMV.
So here's what's ridiculous. The clerks at THAT DMV call our field staffer whenever they have someone who can't afford an ID. THREE of the men who she had with her today WERE PEOPLE THE DMV ASKED US TO HELP. But the manager kicked us out.
We are OBVIOUSLY fighting this. We'll see how far we have to go. Shaundra (our field staffer) gets 20-40 IDs there PER WEEK. This is not the end.

The usual disclaimer applies: YMMV, my way is not the only way, everyone's journey is different. This advice is intended for new writers seeking traditional publication. I straight up can't speak to indie/self-publishing because I don't have experience there.
1. The key to all marketing endeavors is WRITING A GREAT BOOK. For real. A book that is compelling, beautifully written, and carefully revised will snag a passionate agent, sell to a quality publishing house in a bigger deal, and receive more marketing attention. Period.

2/ The proposals appears to be a report by Parliament's Committee on Public Life from last year (gov.uk/government/upl…) on 'Intimidation in Public Life'. It sounds like the PM will be accepting many of the recommendations. The most controversial is the new offence...
3/ The recommendation is to create a new offence "in electoral law" of intimidating parliamentary candidates. Sounds sensible, right? But wait! What would it mean for political speech? And is a new criminal offence even needed?
