Clouds of tear gas hang in the air in Hong Kong's main biz district. Police have fired off several rounds to push back protesters who keep charging at the Legislative Council Complex. It's crazy to think of this place as a financial center right now. Feels like a combat zone 
This is Hong Kong right now. After firing tear gas simultaneously from both sides of the crowd the police shot into the crowd. They now made a major advance pushing protesters away from Admiralty.

Should add this is just one crowd. But it's quite strange to see hundreds of people in masks and goggles gathered in front of the city's exclusive Hong Kong Club where billionaires dine and network
Large number of volunteers have been handing out water, food, masks and goggles to protesters. Spoke to some volunteer medics who described getting canisters of tear gas thrown into their tent
Police are said to be planning to clear out this main thoroughfare soon but while we wait the crowd is growing. Lots of workers from nearby offices now joining too
