(1/18) Small update: MRR doubled from $100 to $200 in two months, with all @gitgardener @telemonetize and @epilepsyblocker bringing in revenue

I will break down each product's current state and how I will grow them simultaneously👇

Sorry for the tweet storm⛈️

#indiehackers
(2/18) Since I have multiple products and intend to have even more, I won’t focus on everything

I will focus on one north star/metric for each one, following @asmartbear's advice

Below is my north star metric for each product 🌟
(3/18) For @gitgardener, my north star metric is website visitors, I get only about 300 visitors per month but they still convert great

I also doubled prices last month, not only did I stopped getting new customers, I actually got more than before at twice the price! 🤑
(4/18) For @telemonetize, my north star metric is paying user retention

I have nice traffic (6K/mo) but churn is high

I will try with great support to keep as many customers I can, adding features according to their needs ⚙️
(5/18) For @epilepsyblocker, I have been working very hard the past few months. I tried pivoting in many directions but with no real success

My north star metric is awareness, get more people to know about the product and me trying to learn the market better
(6/18) For the past three months, I worked on @epilepsyblocker and tried to pivot into different markets

First I started out as a B2C product, selling to individuals, people with photosensitive epilepsy. Then I tried to get into the B2B and even the B2E market 🏬
(7/18) For the B2C market, one thing I didn't know was the economic state of many of my users. Most people with PSE live on wellfare, so a monthly subscription is too much for them to handle

Price is the biggest barrier, so I dropped the price, still, with no great results
(8/18) Another thing I didn’t realize was that although I follow the most established guidelines, some people feel that it won’t keep them safe and are afraid to risk their health trying out a new product 💥

They prefer to disable any kind of animation and rest assure
(9/18) Because of that, I thought that branching out to a B2B/B2E market might be more impactful to the world and also help me make a living out of doing what I love at the same time.

So I started weighing in other options... 🤔
(10/18) First, I went to a Neurological Clinic, walked up to an expert neurologist and pitched my product 🏥

This was the first time I ever did the “elevator pitching” I used to make fun of. Technically it was a “staircase pitching”, since we took the stairs to her office 🔢🔽
(11/18) She loved the product and understood the reasoning & science behind each feature💓

We spoke about the software and if it could be used by a clinic. The answer was neither yes or no, and our back and forth didn’t go far. They said in Greece it's impossible to be adopted🤷‍♂️
(12/18) Perhaps she was just being polite to me, I don’t know.

I talked to some other neurologists and told that it's not really realistic and that I would probably waste my time ⌚️

After that I kept my eyes open to possibilities and started talking to epilepsy foundations
(13/18) I found a new law that would start being active from September 1st, 2019 in Greece and would force all TV Channels to check their content and show a warning if it’s dangerous for people with photosensitive epilepsy 💥

Sth like "The scenes that follow contain flashing..."
(14/18) I found someone that was the Technical Director of one of the biggest TV Channels in Greece for 15+ years🎥

He was kind enough to go out for a coffee with me☕️

He said that he could clearly see my software do the analysis for channels and intro-ed me with the current TD
(15/18) Before going to the meeting, I had printed out the new law and had it ready for him to see 📜

When I showed it to him, he chuckled. “This law? This law has been talked about for two years. I don’t see this coming into effect for another two years.” 😂

Classic Greece 🇬🇷
(16/18) So to sum up, for @epilepsyblocker, I don't really know what my north star is and where to go from here 🌟

I am in talks with some epilepsy foundations and I’ll see where that takes us. For now, all I can focus on is awareness, I think not enough people know about it
(17/18) My north star metric for each product 💫

@gitgardener —> Increase website visitors

@telemonetize —> Reduce churn

@epilepsyblocker —> Raise product awareness

This type of thinking allows me to build new products, which I intend to do 😀
(starting today!)
(18/18) Sorry for the long and tiring tweet storm ⛈️

I understand that this isn't the best way to share my progress but I have been inactive on Twitter for a long time, so... this is what I was up to!

I would love to hear my fellow makers' thoughts! 😃
