This Hope Hicks transcript is amazing. She comes across great. The Dems come across as absolute morons who are doing this as a political stunt.

Nadler explained at the beginning that it was a confidential, closed door setting.
Norm Eisen, one of the writers of the Brooking's Obstruction Roadmap, tried to pull a fast one and get a good sound bite over not turning over documents. WH counsel says nope.

Question about Kushner receiving an email demanding Trump's financials supposedly from Guccifer. Ms. Hicks believes he showed it to Secret Service to make sure that they hadn't been hacked or compromised.
Actually she saw him show it to the Secret Service on the Trump plane.
Asking her about being asked to lie by Trump. She explains that she was in the press and at times was supposed to spin things. Then turns it around on them to call out how they leaked her House Intel Committee testimony.
It's super important that she come in for a hearing yet Rep. Cohen has no idea what he is even talking about. He doesn't know the dates of things.
Rep. Cohen is an extremely rude man.
Eisen is back with more questions - this time on the Trump dossier that was given to Eric Trump. Wants President Trump's reaction to it. Was he pleased?

She bursts this bubble too.
Okay...never mind that line of questioning (cause it failed). Eisen moves to another. Did Ms Hicks ever get an FBI Defensive briefing?

He doesn't seem to think she knows what it is. Oh, but she does!
Finally, we get a real question (Page 164). Eisen asks about the "Russia if you're listening" statement by President Trump.
Onto some Flynn questions now. Obama's talking about Flynn tainted Trump's view a bit.

Ms Hicks doesn't have nice things to say about Michael Cohen.

JW had a release today with emails from Winer and Nuland from Sep 2016. There has been a lot of guessing as to what the 'O' in "my old O friend" means. JW has it as Orbis which could work. judicialwatch.org/wp-content/upl…
I had originally thought it might be O = Oleg Deripaska as Winer was involved when at Alston & Bird getting him a VISA in 2005/6. But he fell to the bottom of the list.

But now I am leaning towards it being Bruce Ohr.
I lined up the dates that Ohr and Christopher Steele were emailing and the dates from the Winer/Nuland emails.

Going through the Assange Indictment and from what I can tell it doesn't charge him for publishing anything. It is all about coercing and helping Manning obtain the information.
WL had noted on their site up until Sep 2010, that they solicited Censored, Restricted and Classified information.

A few months Manning's arrest, they removed Classified and noted that they don't solicit information. 🤔
WL published a Most Wanted List on their site starting in 2009.

Manafort named him to the economic advisory committee and then tried to get him a top cabinet position. He was never given the position by the Trump Transition Team

2/ Before we get to McGahn’s decision, let me explain the White House’s position, which was explained in a letter by the current White House Counsel to the House Judiciary Committee.

In the letter, he said that the documents McGahn has belong to the White House, not McGahn.

It is politically premature and strategically unwise to call for immediate impeachment proceedings in the House.
A Special Counsel is likely to produce a mix of indictments, criminal information docs, and a report relatively soon.
Why get out ahead of it? 1/
2/ @woodruffbets reports the White House may assert executive privilege to block a report. It's possible Whitaker or Barr might order Mueller not to include any info that they deem privileged in a criminal information doc accompanying new indictments. thedailybeast.com/team-trumps-bl…
3/ Even at that stage, the House committees should use their energy to subpoena such reports, subpoena witnesses, and litigate executive privilege (like US v. Nixon), rather than re-formulate those efforts as premature impeachment proceedings.

1/ Because executive privilege only arises in—that is, can only be raised in—unusual circumstances, it hasn't often been litigated in the courts and doesn't even have a firm definition in case law. Usually, the three branches of government find ways to avoid use of the privilege.
2/ The privilege attaches to the executive branch of government, not the judicial or legislative branches. It becomes relevant when Congress wants information from the executive branch or a subpoena has been issued by a judge to get certain information from the executive branch.
