Alright, here's the character megathread, broken down by episode—will repost on Reddit as well—starting with EPISODE 1 by order of appearance!
The first person we meet is Elandra Ramirez, 27 years old, black, she/her. She is the FIRST ARCANIST of the United Star Systems Alliance, which means she is responsible for investigating magical phenomena on behalf of the government.
Next we hear from DanDan, Elandra's Artificial Cohort Intelligence. ACIs are like a slightly more advanced version of Alexa or Siri, but you can give them a custom name and there's an open protocol for them so they can be shared across any 'cohort-enabled' device.
On board her personal spacecraft, the Hyperion One, Elandra goes over a couple old messages, one from Avander Thorn and one from Norelle (she skips one from Jonathan).
Avander Thorn is a political commentator/late-night host, sort of an Anderson Cooper, John Oliver type person. He's known Elandra for several years; he first interviewed her when she was acting as a community activist and known as the Harlem Witch.
Norelle Peters is an ex-military beyonder (a beyonder is a magician who specializes in the summoning and binding of beyons). She's short. She has bleached blonde hair and an advanced prosthetic right leg.
Her 'ward' is Bridget Lozano, a first-gen Mexican American from El Paso with a punk rock style. Bridget is a powerful enchanter; she was arrested on Earth for 'fogging' police officers and border patrol agents, and now Norelle is responsible for her (kinda like a parole officer).
Then we meet the Petreiuses. Julian Petreius is a rich collector who lives in a beautiful estate bordering this massive canyon. He has two sons, Henry and Felix, but Felix left home some time ago and Henry is much younger.
He is the owner/husband of Penelope Petreius, an android designed and built by Aphrodite Industries. Penelope has brown hair and dark blue eyes, and she is essentially one of the first 'perfect androids' to exist in the world. She also claims to have been studying magic.
Jonathan Harper is the prodigal son of a terraforming dynasty (Harper Terraforming), and his father is the Planetary Rep for Freya. He is a mechanical engineer, and helped Elandra refurbish the Hyperion One. He is desperately in love with Elandra.
...and that's actually it for Episode 1! There's also a bookshop owner named Odard, and we do see Gabriel's boots at the end... but these are the major players we really meet. Hope this is helpful! I'll do Episode 2... soon? TTFN
