The Mueller report corroborates many stories that were dismissed by Trump as “fake news” — and also identifies multiple times when Trump and his allies misled or actively lied to the press.

Verma’s team of consultants includes (1) a specialist in helping GOP women with their brands and (2) a longtime colleague from Indiana who got blocked from a CMS job.

Their rate: $185-$200 per hour, apiece.
Verma’s also leaned on NAHIGIAN STRATEGIES, which is co-led by the former chair of Trump’s transition.

They’ve been paid $2M-plus.

I touched briefly on caste and healthcare earlier but the problem extends far beyond simply access to medical services.
Vani Kant Borooah used data from the national sample survey (NSS) to study 6 different groups - adivasis (56% Hindu and 33% Christian); Dalits (93% Hindu); non-Muslim OBC; Muslim OBC; Muslim upper caste; and non-Muslim upper classes,- and found disparities in life expectancy.
Upper caste non Muslims on average live up to 17 years longer than other groups (Chart 1). Even when adjusted for income and socioeconomic factors there is still a 10 year difference between upper and lower caste groups (Chart 3). ST have the lowest average age at death-43 years.

Five years ago today, two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Three people died, and hundreds were injured. Later that week, all hell broke loose in the Boston area. We still don't know who built the bombs.
In 2015, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was found guilty of bombing the marathon and killing an MIT police officer. He was sentenced to death. The FBI seems to have moved on. But key facts in the case are missing. This is a thread about the loose ends.
The bombings happened on Marathon Monday, April 15, 2013, at around 2:50pm. For days, the government wouldn't say anything about whether it had suspects. Then, on Thursday April 18, at around 5:20pm, the FBI released photos of its suspects.
