FIVE YEARS AGO I posted on Facebook about the misogyny coming from @FoxNews. With the news about Tucker Carlson's comments & alleged jokes about a 13-year-old being molested, here's a thread of that post. Keep in mind, this was BEFORE Roger Ailes & O'Reilly were ousted. THREAD👇🏽1
Okay, I’ve just GOT to ask this question even though I may very well lose some friends or get pelted with rotten fruit because of it. My question is simply; WHY? If you have daughters or granddaughters, WHY would you keep watching FOX News? I am not joking. I'm being serious. 2/
FOX has said repeatedly, “There is no war on women,” yet here we are, 14 years into the 21st Century, and the supposed freest and greatest country on earth can’t pass a law providing women equal pay for equal work? You do know that Congress just voted on it, right? The same 3/
network that says, "There is no war on women," is leading the main assault in this "imaginary" war. FOX says, “There is no war on women,” yet just this week, five of their own panelists on their program “Outnumbered,” DEFENDED Bill Frezza, the guy who was fired by Forbes after 4/
his story "Drunk Female Guests Are the Gravest Threat to Fraternities," unsurprisingly crashed and burned. What else did The Frez (I gave him a frat name) say? He basically blames female college students for baiting the poor guys saying, “[We] have very little control over 5/
women who walk in the door carrying enough pre-gaming booze in their bellies to render them unconscious before the night is through,” and it went downhill from there. Forbes rightly fired Frezza, but don’t worry, because FOX’s “Outnumbered” panelists were there to defend him. 6/
And by the way, you’ve really got to hand it to FOX for the whole “Outnumbered” thing as a marketing concept. Here you’ve got one guy, Jesse Watters, sitting center on a circular couch with four beautiful female reporters, two on his right and two on his left, and it's FOX, so 7/
they’re all wearing short skirts (green, blue, red & some shade of purple) to show off those legs. I mean, come on! I’m a white heterosexual male (which most of their male viewers are) so I’m thinking, “Hey girls, you can 'outnumber' me anytime!” And just to be sure that we 8/
dudes get the whole 'ménage à cinq' fantasy in our heads, they put a hashtag onscreen under Jesse Watters name and what is it? "#oneluckyguy" I shit you not! Don’t believe me? Go find the video. I’ll wait. One-lucky-guy led the defense of The Frez, saying, “He’s afraid if he 9/
hosts a party at the house and these girls pregame too hard and they come over sloppy drunk, they take too many shots and they go up to your room and the next thing happens in the morning, I don't know what happens, I can barely remember what happens, she gets hurt, she gets 10/
assaulted... ANYTHING could happen!” Only ONE of the four female panelists gave half a shot at taking up for the victims, but her attempt wasn’t credible. The icing on the cake for The Frez’s defense was when co-host, Andrea Tantaros, acknowledged that Frezza expressed a 11/
"legitimate fear.” She added, "I don't know why this writer is taking so much heat because this is actually a problem that goes on. The guys, what are they supposed to do, lock them out?" Aw, the poor guys. It’s not their fault. She’s asking for it. She's passed out cold! 12/
Hey panel, how about just saying this; “DON'T! RAPE! WOMEN!” FOX says, “There is no war on women,” yet in the same week as FrezGate, THEY DID IT AGAIN! Bill O’Reilly acknowledged that female voters could decide the next election and then in the same breath he proceeded to try 13/
to rally those same female voters to the GOP by… insulting them? After admitting that only 15% of the top executive positions in Fortune 500 companies are held by women, O'Reilly used HIMSELF as an example of someone who’s also been treated unfairly, admitting it's true that 14/
“an old boy network makes it tougher for the ladies to gain establishment power. That does not seem to be fair, but…(His emphasis) LIFE IS NOT FAIR! I, your humble correspondent, have been scorned by the establishment during my career. I do not believe that there is a war on- 15
women or our capitalistic system is holding the ladies back. I believe some stupid men are, but that’s something that individual companies have to deal with.” You do realize, ladies, that O'Reilly thinks that you’re too dumb to know that he just said that the men who are 16/
running these companies are holding you back, but he believes that you should just leave it up to them to fix it. FOX says, “There is no war on women," yet, for the THIRD time this week... THEY DID IT AGAIN! A FOX hosts made a “boob joke” about what? An actual, real woman in 17/
a very REAL war with men who will KILL HER if they ever get their hands on her. Miriam al-Mansouri is a major with the United Arab Emirates Air Force and this past Monday night she led a UAE strike mission piloting her F-16 Fighting Falcon against ISIS/L targets. Her... 18/
commander said she was, “fully qualified, highly trained, combat-ready pilot, and she led the mission.” When U.S. Air Force tanker pilots heard Major al-Mansouris voice over the radio during air-refueling they were so caught off guard & amazed that they literally could not - 19/
speak. There was nearly 20 seconds of radio silence. The symbolism was absolute perfection. Here was a Muslim WOMAN killing ISIS terrorists! The entire world praised this brave woman. She was called "Lady Liberty” and "The nightmare of the ISIS fighters." Germany’s Spiegel - 20/
called it "Operation Wüstenmaid" (Operation Desert Maiden). Fox News host, Eric Bolling, had a name for it, too. He laughed & referred to Major al-Mansouri's mission as “Boobs on the ground.” Yep, real classy move there, Eric. Not to be outdone, another FOX ball-toter said, 21/
“After she bombed them she couldn’t park it (the F-16). Good job guys! That’s how you show respect to a woman who will now have to watch her back... FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE. Their co-host, Kimberly Guilfoyle reaction said it all. She just hung her head in disbelief and - 22/
brought her hand to her forehead to try to stop the pain. Now I don’t think Guilfoyle was really surprised that Bolling thought that way, because, after all, they are at FOX, but I believe that she was probably thinking, “Jeez guys, couldn't you just read the frig’n - 23/
teleprompter and shut up?” Bolling appeared live on FOX the next day and said that when he got home on the previous night his wife had given him “the look.” He then apologized, on air… TO HIS WIFE. It took 12 seconds. I timed it. The camera went back to Kimberly Guilfoyle. 24/
Guilfoyle was momentarily stunned. After regaining her composer, she tried to help poor little Eric out. She said “and you love women and have respect for them...” ending it like a question. Eric mumbled, “I do,” like a little boy who was being forced to apologize, but you - 25/
could barely hear him! It was absolutely PATHETIC. Fox finally made Bolling READ an apology the next day so he wouldn't screw up again! It took three days, but he finally got through it. FOX says, “There is no war on women,” yet their own network is proof that not only does - 26/
the War on Women exist, FOX is its Central Command. FOX might as well make their employees wear color-coded uniforms like they do on U.S. aircraft carriers, where the colors reflect their jobs. The anchors could wear blue, the cameramen could be in red, boom operators and - 27/
sound technicians in yellow, etc… and I can’t wait to see what the females look like in their new short skirts... wait, what am I saying? 😳 YIKES! They almost had me, but I’ve got granddaughters to protect. 😡 Now, where’s that damn remote? [CLICK] 28/
