so we know dillon hopper is awake & online this morning, but will he call in, as ordered, to the telephonic hearing in the sines v kessler lawsuit at noon? will judge hoppe initiate contempt proceedings if he doesn't? 
hopper is being sued in federal court for his involvement, as the then-leader of vanguard america, in the planning & execution of the violence of the unite the right rally. he's been uncooperative through the case & was dropped by his lawyer last month
he had until june 25 to find a new lawyer... he appears to have failed to do so, instead writing a letter to the court filed on that date claiming to have forgotten about this lawsuit
which is weird because he commented on a whole bunch of gab posts about my coverage of the hearing he missed
he does need to find a lawyer, though. the named defendant is vanguard america - an organization cannot represent itself pro se in this court. he better get one quick, too -- he has until friday to respond to the plaintiffs' motion for attorney's fees
i'm surprised to report that all three of our wayward defendants (matthew heimbach, dillon hopper and elliott "eli mosley" kline) managed to get themselves onto the conference call this afternoon. none of them have lawyers since being dropped by kolenich last month.
not only did all three men bother to participate in this hearing in the federal lawsuit in which they are defendants, they have all agreed, with varying degrees of commitment and contrition, to comply with discovery, which looked unlikely last month.
