Rep. Al Green first introduced an impeachment resolution in Jan. 2017, before Trump even assumed office. His resolution today received 95 votes, 40% of the Dem caucus (including, significantly, Nadler) despite the procedural stupidity of introducing it before Mueller testifies
A slew of new House Dems and presidential candidates backed impeachment proceedings after Mueller delivered a 9 minute statement in May. Next week he's testifying for 5 hours. You only need another 25 or so Dems for a majority in the caucus
The past few weeks have been a "down time" for impeachment-related activity but support has still been slowly growing. An essentially pointless resolution just got 95 votes. Mueller next week is the grand salami. Saddle up!

The guy claimed he was going to kill himself and then couldn’t complete the task so now he’s in custody. Photos of girl’s dead, mutilated body are posted everywhere. There appears to be some unverified, convoluted backstory involving various anonymous online forums. Grisly stuff
The guy’s intended last act was to post photos of himself bleeding to death on Instagram, which of course are now preserved online. The suicide failed, perhaps purposefully, but imagine the mindset where that’s your last dying act

Good evening! I will begin live-tweeting the #DemDebate2020 at 9PM ET for @CourthouseNews but in the meantime, let's go over some policy points for each of tonight's contenders.
Tonight’s candidates on the debate stage are: @JoeBiden, @BernieSanders, @KamalaHarris, @PeteButtigieg, @MichaelBennet, @SenGillibrand (Kirsten Gillibrand), John @Hickenlooper, @ericswalwell, @Marwilliamson (Marianne Williamson) and @Andrew Yang.
But first, we'll revisit rules quickly: recall, candidates have 60 seconds to respond, 30 seconds for follow-ups. There will be no opening remarks to save time but closing remarks will be delivered by each.

Just as he did in 2008, former Alaska Senator, Mike Gravel, hopes to get on the 2020 Democratic debate stage, to “challenge the American plutocracy and military industrial complex.”
To such ends, his campaign has issued a “good conscience” refusal to appear on @TuckerCarlson’s show, based the host's “white supremacy” and the “[xenophobic] yellow journalism” promoted by Fox News as whole.
This refusal is VERY unusual. For, Senator Gravel has a consistent history of sharing platforms with anti-Semites, Holocaust deniers, conspiracy theorists, and white supremacists, along with an inconsistent history of denouncing them when exposed for having associated with them.

WOW! Cosko gathered DOZENS of gigabytes of data, including ENTIRE NETWORK DRIVES, and sorted it into folders including one called “high value.”

He was then hired by Democratic Texas Rep @JacksonLeeTX18, giving him access to the House computer network.
Cosko snuck into the office late at night and gathered dozens of gigabytes of data including:

• dozens of usernames and passwords belonging to Senate employees
• tens of thousands of emails and internal documents
• credit card information belonging to Senate employees
• social security numbers belonging to Senate employees
• personal information belonging to hundreds of other persons (presumably constituents)
• private phone numbers and home addresses of senators

This year has been exhausting. For all of us. The racism & xenophobia has been out of control. To me, as a white person, it has been offensive & shocking. But you know what? Those feelings are negligible compared to what it's felt like to be on the receiving end of the hatred.
One example is the disparity between how @lsarsour and I get treated on Twitter. I have received overwhelming positive support. Linda receives daily waves of hatred, racism, and sexism. And death threats. She needs a security detail to get around her beloved Brooklyn.
